Our site gets a carbon rating of A, according to websitecarbon.com – which estimates the site is cleaner than 89% of all webpages globally, producing only 0.12g of CO2e per pageview. According to Websitecarbon, the global average is 0.8g CO2e per pageview, with the internet consuming more electricity than the whole of the UK!
While it’s not hard to find web hosts that advertise green credentials, it took us a while to find one that could prove them and show that it used fully credible renewable energy based on more than buying certificates.
We are pleased to work with Krystal hosting who are also a B Corporation and rather than rely on offsetting, have a direct relationship between their UK datacentre and Ecotricity to power the facility with energy generated by 100% renewable sources. They also support various other sustainability initiatives.
